    On the Move

As if surrounded by a celestial halo, space shuttle Discovery made its way towards the expansive confines of NASA Kennedy Space Center's Vehicle Assembly Building following a move from its processing hangar on Sept. 9, 2010. A metal sling will be carefully connected to the spacecraft and then operators will hoist it from transfer aisle to the high reaches of the 52-story building before lowering it into place beside the external fuel tank and twin solid rocket boosters. Crews then will connect the spacecraft giving the stack its familiar launch day form. Discovery is targeted to liftoff on the 11-day STS-133 mission on Nov. 1 at 4:40 p.m. EDT. How quickly we forget.

Who do the Republicans want to run against? Hillary or Barrack? It is obvious to me that they want to run against Barrack. Who is winning in the Democratic race for President? Barrack. How does the Republican machine do this? Simple an opt-ed article by Paul Krugman in the New York Times gives you a glimpse as to how they do it. Doesn’t this suggest that any discussions with Republicans are useless. Because they will put forth as truths the lies and derision that their noise machine puts out.

Where has all the money gone?

The “richest Americans’ share of national income has hit a postwar record,” with the “wealthiest 1% of Americans earn[ing] 21.2% of all income in 2005, according to new data from the Internal Revenue Service. … The bottom 50% earned 12.8% of all income, down from 13.4% in 2004.”
