    A Chameleon Sky

The sands of time are running out for the central star of this the Hourglass Nebula. With its nuclear fuel exhausted, this brief, spectacular, closing phase of a sun-like star's life occurs as its outer layers are ejected and its core becomes a cooling, fading white dwarf. In 1995, astronomers used the Hubble Space Telescope to make a series of images of planetary nebulae, including the one above. Here, delicate rings of colorful glowing gas (nitrogen-red, hydrogen-green, and oxygen-blue) outline the tenuous walls of the 'hourglass.' The unprecedented sharpness of Hubble's images revealed surprising details of the nebula ejection process and may resolve the outstanding mystery of the variety of complex shapes and symmetries of planetary nebulae. Happy Marriage.

Posted by Skip Stone on August 10th, 2008

I was watching the news this morning before going to work. I saw a story about John Edwards’ infidelity. The media included a little tidbit that kind of pissed me off. What struck me was a statistic about whose marriage; the public thought was the happiest. It was The Edwards. What struck me was the fact that the media included this snippet in the piece on Edwards’ infidelity. This inferred that marital infidelity is associated with an unhappy marriage. How blunt, the truth is that Edwards and the woman he had the affair with spent a bit of time together and eventually, which always happen between humans an attraction develops. Now Edwards has already stated that the affair was based on ego rather than anything from home. So why did the media slip this in? I’ll tell you, it was to make the voting public feel that they have been fooled by the left. That the left are not the “good” people that they say they are, etc. What you don’t hear is the same stuff about the right in the media. How much was made of Ted Haggart? Not much it was here today gone tomorrow. But not with Edwards. This story will be around for a while.

I finally get it.

Ladies and Gentleman I have finally found the answer to the long troubling question, Do they think we’re dumb, stupid, etc? The answer…… ? Is no, they think their audience is Dumb, stupid , etc. Here is why I believe this. Right wing talk radio does’nt talk to us the liberals. Right-wing radio is talking to the right wing liberal haters. Those are the people that they think are stupid. You know what? They are right they are stupid because they accept what is said as truth without critically thinking about it. No analysis, no evaluation, just blind stupid acceptance. An example.
