    A Chameleon Sky

The sands of time are running out for the central star of this the Hourglass Nebula. With its nuclear fuel exhausted, this brief, spectacular, closing phase of a sun-like star's life occurs as its outer layers are ejected and its core becomes a cooling, fading white dwarf. In 1995, astronomers used the Hubble Space Telescope to make a series of images of planetary nebulae, including the one above. Here, delicate rings of colorful glowing gas (nitrogen-red, hydrogen-green, and oxygen-blue) outline the tenuous walls of the 'hourglass.' The unprecedented sharpness of Hubble's images revealed surprising details of the nebula ejection process and may resolve the outstanding mystery of the variety of complex shapes and symmetries of planetary nebulae. Double Standards

Posted by Skip Stone on January 25th, 2009

sean_hannityWhen the Bush was in office the right wing noise machine was “You have to support the President even if you don’t agree with his policies. We as Americans need to present a unified front to the “Terrorists”.” But guess what. Now that there is a democrat in office the right wing is shitting all over the President. These fucking low lifes. How I wish a patriot would rid us of these wastes of skin. I really mean it I don’t care that they may have families orrushcigar whatever. They need to shut up and go away. Just some of the crap that they say on the air. “The Democrat Party has never claimed to have standards. Only once in my memory have they claimed to have ethics.” George Bush had a reverence for the office of the presidency. “That’s why he didn’t get partisan.” It would have been “irreverent” to turn the Oval Office partisan. Bush “is a good man. He’s not hated.” Also hoping that Obama fails……? So what you are saying Mr. Ditto-head aka Shithead, Dumb-ass, Douche Bag, is that you hope we don’t recover from the bullshit that your Conservative Party has laid upon us as a Nation. Two words for you. FUCK YOU!
